UWA funding aps available

     PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Brian Sipe, president of the United Way of Aroostook board of directors, along with Bonnie Foster, chairman of the agency relations committee, have announced that funding applications for 2007-2008 are now available.
     Non-profit health and human service organizations serving Aroostook County citizens may apply to the United Way of Aroostook for funds that were raised during the annual fund-raising campaign. This year, the United Way of Aroostook will be helping to support county-based agencies and programs that are helping meet the most crucial health and human service needs of Aroostook’s most vulnerable.
Applications for funding and other information about the application process are available by calling the United Way of Aroostook at 7645197. The deadline for  applications is March 15.
Following the deadline, a task force of volunteers from throughout Aroostook County will begin the process of reviewing and evaluating applications. The board of directors will announce funding decisions in June of 2007.
