The Northeast Society for Human Resource Management (NESHRM) is pleased to announce that Kristina Kenneson and Benjamin MacDonald are the 2006 recipients of the Deborah Kierstead and Milton Bailey Memorial Scholarships.
NESHRM established these scholarships in honor of two members who exemplified leadership and community service. The scholarships are open to students attending Northern Maine Community College, University of Maine at Presque Isle and Fort Kent, and Husson College. Applicants must have a career goal in business and exhibit traits of leadership and service to the school and community.
Kristina is a graduate of Presque Isle High School and is currently enrolled in the accounting program at Northern Maine Community College. As well as excelling scholastically, Kristina has given back to the community through her work with Make-a-Wish and a spring break trip to New Orleans to assist with hurricane relief.
Kristina plans to continue her education and obtain her master’s degree and remain in Aroostook County.
Benjamin MacDonald is a graduate of Ashland Community High School and is currently enrolled in the Business Administration Program at Northern Maine Community College.
Ben is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and has volunteered for various community projects, including local blood drives. After graduation, Ben will show his Aroostook County entrepreneurial spirit by opening his own business in the Presque Isle area.
