Hot dog roast
The Presque Isle Snowmobile Club will host their annual hot dog roast at Sweetser’s camp on Squapan Lake on Sunday, March 4. Anyone interested can meet at the Presque Isle Snowmobile Clubhouse at 10 a.m. to ride to the lake. We will not have to travel on the lake.
Benefit supper
The Woodland school will host a bean supper at the Woodland school on Thursday, March 1 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Costs are $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 12 and under.
The menu includes baked beans, hot dogs, rolls, salads, brownies, coffee and punch. Proceeds benefit the Woodland boys’ basketball team.

Biathlon experience party
The Nordic Heritage Sport Club invites the public to try the sport of biathlon on for size Friday, March 2 at the Nordic Heritage Center in Presque Isle.
Shooting practice and a safety briefing runs from 4:30-6:30 p.m. for ages 12 and up. A kids’ bean bag race begins at 5:30 p.m. and a biathlon fun race starts at 7.
A potluck supper begins at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to bring a dish to share and a beverage.

Sports physicals
Students participating in sports will need to have a pre-participation physical examination prior to the beginning of middle school and high school. The school sports physical costs $15.
All students must annually submit the form B for student health history and form C with insurance, emergency medical care and the student contract.
Physicals will take place at Presque Isle Middle School April 9 and 10; Zippel March 2 and 30; and Mapleton April 6.
