Rattray honored
KINGSTON, R.I. – The top University of Rhode Island students of the 2005-06 freshman class were chosen to be formally inducted as University College Scholars – the top students in their entire freshman class.
These students received a certificate of achievement and $500 check from the URI Alumni Association in recognition of their success.
To be considered as a University College Scholar, students must earn a minimum of a 3.9 cumulative grade point average out of a possible 4.0 in their freshman year. Then, of the about 30 candidates, the students compete for the award based on contributions that they have made outside of the classroom to the community and university.
Making the list from Presque Isle was Katelyn Rattray. Rattray is a pharmacy major.
