SAD 1 Food Service Department offers summer food program

  PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Beginning Monday, June 18, SAD 1 Food Service Department will offer a Summer Food Service Program.
This program is administered nationally by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Services, and was established to ensure that children continue to receive nutritious meals during summer school vacations.
    All children 18 and under are eligible and are encouraged to participate in this free meals program.
No pre-registration of proof of income is required.

The program will be offered in the following locations:  Presque Isle: Birch Street Apts., breakfast, June 18-Aug. 3, 7:30-8 a.m.; lunch, June 18-Aug. 3, 11:04-11:40 a.m.; Helen Noreen Apts., breakfast, June 18-Aug. 3, 7:30-8 a.m.; lunch June 18-Aug. 3, 10:45-11 a.m.; Micmac Housing (Playground on Summit Drive), breakfast, June 18-Aug. 3, 8:00-8:30 a.m.; lunch, June 18-Aug. 3, 11-11:30 a.m.; Riverside Park, lunch, June 18-Aug. 3, 11:40 a.m.-12:10 p.m.; Pine Street Elementary, lunch, June 25-Aug. 3, 11:15-11:30 a.m.; Preque Isle Pool (Back parking lot), lunch, June 25-Aug. 3, 11:15-11:40 a.m. Bridgewater:  Bridgewater Elementary, breakfast, June 25-Aug. 3, 7:30-8 a.m.; lunch, June 25-Aug. 3, 11-11:40 a.m.
No meals will be served Wednesday, July 4.
Federal regulations and proper sanitation practices require that all meals must be eating at the delivery site.
