Engels receives degree

    CARLISLE, Pa. – On Sunday, May 20, Sebastian Richard Engels graduated cum laude from Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pa., earning a bachelor’s degree  in history. The graduate participated in the college’s commencement ceremony for the class of 2007, which included 568 graduates. He was commissioned in the U.S. Army and was also named to the 2006-07 dean’s list.R. Nicholas Burns, Undersecretary of State for political Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, delivered the commencement address. Burns, the Department of State’s third ranking official, was one of five honorary doctorate recipients at commencement on the John Dickinson campus in front of the college’s Old West building on High Street in Carlisle.
Engels is the son of Richard Engels and Carole St. Pierre-Engels, of Caribou. He is a graduate of Caribou High School.
