Locals make dean’s list

Helstrom graduates from Colby
Lisa D. Helstrom, of Presque Isle, was one of 467 seniors who graduated from Colby College this year, receiving a bachelor of arts degree at commencement in Waterville on May 27. The class of 2007 included students from 26 countries and 36 states.
    Helstrom earned dean’s list standing for the spring semester. Students whose grade point average are in the top 30 percent are named to the dean’s list.
Colby President William D. Adams handed a diploma to Helstrom and each of the graduates. Helstrom is the daughter of Sterling and Ellen Helstrom of Presque Isle. She majored in sociology. Helstrom’s honors include deans list, distinction in major, and Summa Cum Laude. She is a graduate of Presque Isle High School.
Local student named to Dean’s List
BOSTON, Mass. – Kevin Jandreau, of Presque Isle, a student at Wentworth Institute of Technology, has been named to the dean’s list for the Spring 2007 semester.
