MORAN, Dickie “Jake”, Jr., 68, of Presque Isle, died August 1, 2007 at a Presque Isle hospital.
PRESQUE ISLE- Dickie “Jake” Moran, 68, died August 1, 2007 at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born August 14, 1938 in Presque Isle. He attended the First United Pentecostal Church in Presque Isle. He had been employed by several area farmers for many years. He was later employed at MPG in Presque Isle and then more recently for Langille Construction. Lovingly known, to his family, as “Fingers Moran” because of his love of taking things apart and then putting them back together again. Jake loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by his parents Clifford A. and Rena (Cray) LaFrancis of Presque Isle; a son and his wife Kevin and Henny Moran of Fulton, New York; bothers and sisters, Bonnie Goodwin of Castle Hill, Reginald “Keith” Moran of Muncie, Indiana, Irene Owens and Elaine Akerson both of Caribou, Fred LaFrancis of Castle Hill, Theresa Woodworth of Presque Isle, and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service was held 1:00PM Saturday at Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Anthony Scott officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at www.duncan-graves.com
