Golf for the school

    LIMESTONE – The first annual Cornerstone Classic to benefit the Cornerstone Christian Academy was held on September 22 at the Limestone Country Club. 90 golfers took part in an effort to raise money for the school’s daily operation and scholarship program.     The winning team of Leggasie, R. Gagnon and Al St. Amand shot a 64 to claim the low gross first place title. The team of Jon Gee, Waylon Dixon and Gary McLaughlin took first low net with a score of 60. Al Irving won the closest to the pin on hole number 12, hitting to within five feet of the pin. The women’s longest drive winner was Anissa Levesque. The men’s long drive champion was Ryan Guerrette.
    The Classic raised over $5,000. The Cornerstone board of directors, teachers, parents and students would like to say thank you to all who helped to sponsor the event, donated their time and supplies and to the players.
