An Introductory Session for Dog Obedience Classes will be held at the SAVE building on Tuesday, Dec. 4. This is a human only session to introduce dog owners to shaping canine behavior through clicker training. Participants will receive a clicker and a manual at this session. The fee for this session is $25. At the end of this introductory class, dog owners will have an opportunity to sign up for dog and human training classes beginning after the Christmas holidays. Cost of these six-week sessions will be $60.
The instructor for the program is Ann Rairdon of County Canine Services. She brings 15 years of experience to share with dogs and their owners in the southern Aroostook area. Rairdon has trained with internationally-renowned author and dog trainer Gail Fisher, for whom she assisted and taught classes with for many years.
