To the editor:
I have some questions about the food pantry in Oakfield. If someone could help me answer these questions, I would be grateful. Why does this food pantry – which is to help feed the needy – charge
a dollar for food? It’s the only food pantry I have ever heard of to do this. Where do these dollars go? Does a family of two get more food than a family of four? Steven King donated $10,000 to this pantry and they bought a van. Does Steven King know the van might be used for personal reasons?
I do not live in this town, but I have family that lives there. It looks to me like Nature’s Pantry is being mismanaged.
I have donated food to some of these pantries and don’t think the people should be charged for donated food!
