Caribou Middle School boys’ basketball had a rollercoaster week in the previous week’s hoop action. The Vikings lost to their Presque Isle rivals, 57-36, but conquered Madawaska, 62-49, later in the week. The Presque Isle Blue jumped to the early lead with a full-court press. Chad Caverhill had the hot hand for Caribou with four three-pointers to total 13 points. Matt Kamm, Caleb Chapman, Nick Pucci and Jake Maher all had four points.
The Vikings used their own style of full-court pressure to dominate Madawaska. Caverhill poured in 25 points, including five three-pointers. Chapman added 22 points. Kamm chipped in with seven points and Kjetil Rossignol rounded out Viking scoring with six points.
