Image  Candace Michelle Kavanaugh, of Mapleton, and Andrew Jacob Henne, of Hemlock, Mich., were united in marriage on June 30, 2007, at the Presque Isle Wesleyan Church. The ceremony was performed by the bride’s father, Rev. Rick Kavanaugh. Rev. Wayne Doiron and Pastor Doug Taubin assisted in the wedding ceremony.   Candace is the daughter of Rev. Rick and Marcia Kavanaugh, of Mapleton. She is attending the University of Maine at Presque Isle, majoring in elementary education with an art concentration.
Andrew is the son of Randy and Sally Henne, of Hemlock, Mich. He attended Bethany Bible College in Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada. He is employed at Seacoast Security in Presque Isle.
Matron of honor was Tina Taubin, of Presque Isle. Bridesmaids were Julie Nicholas, of Cadillac, Mich.; Sarah Duncan and Lauren Halvorson, both of Presque Isle; Ashlie Beardslee, of Mission Viejo, Calif.; and Katie Berry, of Caribou. Flower girl was Grace Rhyno, of Presque Isle.
Best man was Randy Henne, father of the groom.  Groomsmen were Michael Perry and Yancy LaPointe, both of Presque Isle; Robyn Plane, of Roblin, Ontario, Canada; David Kavanaugh, of Mapleton; and Andrew Williams, of Hemlock, Mich.
The wedding prelude consisted of Disney princess-style music played on the piano by Candace’s aunt, Becky Palmer. The bride’s aunts, Becky Palmer and Donna Corey, and Candace’s mother, Marcia Kavanaugh, sang a special selection as the bridal party came in. Candace came in to the song “Go Where Love Goes,” accompanied and sung by her friend, Elizabeth Rhyno. The bride’s uncle, Rev. Larry Palmer, sang a special selection during the ceremony. Candace directed a choir made up of her ‘special, younger friends.’ A song was written and sung by Candace to her husband as Elizabeth Rhyno accompanied her on the piano. Mr. and Mrs. Andy Henne walked out to a ‘new style’ of the “Wedding March” (the recessional) accompanied and arranged by David Kavanaugh, Michael Perry and Elizabeth Rhyno.
An open house/wedding reception was held at a later date at the home of the bride’s parents, in Mapleton. Musical selections were provided by Jeremy Hale, David Kavanaugh, Frank Marmanik and Michael Perry.
The couple honeymooned at Disney World, USA. They reside in Presque Isle.
