RED KETTLE CAMPAIGN — As the holiday season approaches, many of friends and neighbors could use a helping hand. The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle effort helps provide needed assistance now and through the coming year. When you see that Red Kettle, and hear that holiday bell jingle, the Salvation Army’s Kettle Drive is underway. It is the largest single contributor to their annual budget, helping our friends and neighbors in need all year long with necessities such as fuel oil, utilities, and rent assistance. Proceeds also go to the local food pantry and help provide family Christmas baskets. Annually, Katahdin Trust Company employees donate time to ring the bell for this worthy cause. Pictured here assisting in this year’s Red Kettle drive is Eva Brown of the Houlton Branch of Katahdin Trust Company with Capt. Hermas Pearl. If you would like to volunteer to help with the Red Kettle effort, please contact Captain Steve at 532-2322.
