Children’s theatre auditions

    Houlton’s Children’s Star Bright Theatre is preparing for the new season, and the play for ’08 will be Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs of the Black Forest, by June Walker and by arrangement with Dramatic Publishing Co. Ann Barnes and student director, Josh Green, will direct.
    Auditions will be on Jan. 28 at the First Baptist Church at 46 Court St. Audition times are: grades two through five, 2:45  to 4 p.m. and grades six through nine, 3:45 to 5 p.m. Parents: please leave children during specific times only.
    A full rehearsal schedule will be set after casting is complete. This play will require full commitment. During the first two weeks in February, rehearsals will be held at the First Baptist Church. (There will not be rehearsals during February vacation.) From Feb. 25 to March 30, rehearsals will be held at Southside School, and will require three afternoons per week. The final two weeks of rehearsal, from April 1 to 12, will take place at Houlton High School, and will involve several afternoons per week.
    Performances will be held at the Houlton High School Auditorium on April 11 and 12.
