    GRANGER, INDIANA – James A. McConnell, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 21, 2008. He was born on Jan. 9, 1947, in Houlton to the late Elmer and Mary Geraldine (Schools) McConnell.
    James lived and attended school “up on B” through fourth grade, before moving with his family to Broad Brook, CT where he graduated from East Windsor High. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and later a Master’s Degree in Business from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. He worked as an aerospace engineer for most of his career in CT, MD, TX and IN.
    James is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Jewett) of Granger; their two daughters, Karen and Stanton Brown of Southlake, TX and Maureen and Dan Foreman of Lino Lakes, MN; five grandchildren, Adrienne and Jillian Brown and Nicholas, Caroline and Natalie Foreman; his four sisters, Patricia McConnell of Broad Brook, CT and Auburndale, FL, Janet and Cliff Barker of Houlton, Carol Sands of Tampa, FL, and Margaret and William Clegg of Mexico, NY and Polk City, FL; Jim is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; a special aunt Ethel Schools of Houlton; and childhood friend Michael Carpenter.
