Substitute teacher training offered

    HOULTON — SAD 29 has announced a substitute teacher training for first-time substitute teachers.
    Training topics will include classroom management, substitute teaching strategies, district qualifications and responsibilities. Those attending will receive a substitute teacher workbook and a complementary lunch.
    The training is free of charge, but pre-registration and notification of acceptance is required.
    The training will be held at the Houlton Higher Education Center on Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
