Accounting firm promotes three

    PRESQUE ISLE – The local accounting firm of Chester M. Kearney has announced the promotion of its three senior staff accountants – Barbara McGuire of Houlton, Mary Williams of Presque Isle, and Timothy Poitras of Caribou – to the position of manager.
    This level of position requires a minimum of five years experience in public accounting, technical proficiency, and supervisory skills.    McGuire works at the Houlton branch office. She holds her bachelor of arts degree in accounting from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maine Society of CPAs and is currently enrolled in the master’s degree tax program at Washington School of Law.
    McGuire resides in Houlton with her husband, Brian, and their two children, Josh and Jenna.

Mary Williams

   Williams works at the firm’s Presque Isle office. She graduated from Ball State University and holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting.
    She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maine Society of CPAs. She is also a board member of the Pregnancy Care Center of Aroostook, an instructor of QuickBooks accounting at Northern Maine Community College, and treasurer of the State Street Baptist Church, as well as the coach for Wednesday night Olympian’s Program.

Timothy Poitras

   Poitras works at the main office in Presque Isle. He holds a bachelor of science degree in administration and accounting.
    He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maine Society of CPAs. Poitras is also an active member of the Presque Isle Rotary Club, Momentum Aroostook, Northern Maine Empowerment Council, Limestone Masonic Lodge, and the Aroostook Shrine Club.
    Poitras resides in Caribou with his wife, Jennifer, and their two sons, Brennan and Colin.
