Holmes promoted at FAPCO

    HOULTON — Peter Holmes has been promoted to the position of Comptroller for the F. A. Peabody Company. 
    Holmes was hired in 2005 to oversee the company’s accounting department, having spent the previous two years as Information Systems Administrator for the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians. His prior experience includes 13 years as the Controller for Houlton International Corporation until its closure in 2002, with other earlier work in the field of computer science, digital mapping and programming.
    “Peter’s diversity of skills and experience is a great asset for the F. A. Peabody Company, providing additional depth to our staff,” exclaims Christopher Anderson, president.
    Holmes quickly grasped the complexities of handling a multi-department insurance agency operation as well as navigating the finances of an internet services company, Anderson added. Within six months, he joined the executive management team providing valuable input on topics such as accounting, human resources and payroll.
    Holmes lives in Houlton with his wife, Belinda, and their two sons, Ethan and Aaron.
