Nickerson, Mary M., 68, February 25, 2008.  Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment to be held in the spring in the Monticello Cemetery.
    HOULTON – Mary M. Nickerson, 68, died peacefully surrounded by her family February 25, 2008. She was born March 2, 1939, in Monticello, the daughter of Kenneth and Minnie (Cullins) Nickerson.
    Mary was a very devoted and loving mother and grandmother whose sense of humor and courage were evident to all who met her.
    She is survived by three daughters, Nancy M. Nickerson of Brewer, Sonya and her husband, Matthew Swallow, Nannette and her husband, Greg Mills, all of Houlton; three grandchildren, whom were Mary's joys, Daniel James Swallow, Haven Mary Rhoda and Sierra Leigh Rhoda; two sisters, Serita Hammond of Houlton, Katherine and her husband, Larry Dube of Oakfield; and three brothers, Chester Nickerson of Monticello, Fenton and his wife, Jeanette Nickerson of Sydney, Eugene Nickerson of Houlton. She was predeceased by her parents; three brothers, Hollis, Arthur, and Carl; and one sister, Mildred Nickerson.
    Friends called 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water Street, Houlton, and on Thursday from 12-1 p.m. at Military Street Baptist Church where funeral services were held at 1 p.m. with Pastors Randall Burns and Gary Johnson officiating. Spring interment will be held in the Monticello Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the Respiratory Dept. of Houlton Regional Hospital, c/o Bowers Funeral Home, P.O.
