PRESQUE ISLE – Just before the Presque Isle varsity boys huge win over Caribou, the Presque Isle junior varsity boys and the Caribou junior varsity boys went at it Wednesday night in the Presque Isle gym. It was a classic rivalry matchup, which ended in the Wildcats victory, crushing the Vikings, 63-43.

Coach Holabird’s Vikings played tough defense, and were hot on offense the first half. They kept up with the aggressive Wildcats ending the first half, 29-27, with Presque Isle in the lead.
The Wildcats pulled it together and came out strong in the second half to pull off a big triumph over Caribou in a close match.
Oliver Zubrick, of Presque Isle, had a huge game down low and pulled down nine rebounds on the offensive end to give many second chance opportunities to the Wildcats.
Zubrick ended the game with a double-double, pouring in a 27-point game-high and hauling down 15 rebounds to lead the Wildcats. Travis Dyer chipped in 11 points, while Keenan Eaton netted nine.
