Despite wintry conditions, which caused planners to change the schedule to accommodate two half-days, CHS winter carnival was a great success again this year.

Jeff Pucci, left, and Derik Fox are shown taking a moment for the camera before the Harry Potter look alike contest during the Caribou High School winter carnival. Pucci is dressed as Ron Weaslie and Fox is dressed as Harry Potter.

MC senior Spencer McEwen led the Harry Potter theme festivities. Entering the gym was like entering Hogwarts, with students and teachers dressed as characters from Rowling’s classic series.
The sophomores ruled the Harry Potter look-a-like contests. Math teacher Mr. Drost, will forever be called the Pi guy, after receiving a pie in the face from Junior Chelsea Bouchard.
Other activities included arm wrestling, won by senior Chad Bouchard. The tug of war, won by a very aggressive sophomore class was led by anchor Billy Bilido.
However, as tradition would have it, at the end of the day, it was the senior class who pulled off the win by a mere 20 points, beating out a very competitive group of underclassmen.
