McCain Foods praised for donation

    AUGUSTA – Senator Roger Sherman (R-Aroostook) on March 24 presented to McCain Foods a sentiment in appreciation for their gift of an emergency vehicle to the Aroostook County Red Cross.
    McCain Foods, USA Inc. presented the emergency vehicle as part of the Red Cross’ “Do Something Good Campaign.” Maine is the first state to receive such a gift as part of the campaign. The state-of-the-art vehicle will serve nearly 70 communities in Aroostook County.
    The Sentiment that Senator Sherman will present congratulates McCain Foods, USA Inc. for their commitment to think globally and act locally through the Red Cross.
    “The donation of this emergency vehicle by McCain Foods is greatly appreciated by the people of the County.  It also serves as a reminder of the ongoing commitment that McCain Foods and their employees have made to the citizens of Maine,” Senator Sherman said.
