Junior Miss Pageant set for Sunday at CPAC

    “Under The Big Top” will be the theme of the fifteenth annual Jr. Miss Caribou Pageant, to take place Sunday, March 30, at 7 p.m. at the Caribou Performing Arts Center. This is a preliminary event for the Jr. Miss Potato Blossom Pageant held in July concurrent with the Potato Blossom Festival.

    The five young ladies competing, in categories of physical fitness, talent, gown and interview, for the 2008 title are: Reanna Lynn Plourde, daughter of Russell and Melinda Plourde, who will play the piano for her talent presentation; Renee Dube, daughter of Ed and Theresa Dube, performing a vocal selection and Erin Kinney, daughter of John and Ethel Kinney, who will execute a baton/dance routine. Other contestants are Natasha Lucy Bishop, daughter of Rick and Sharlet Bishop, performing a dance routine and presenting a vocal selection during the talent portion of the evening will be Ashley C. Ouellette, the daughter of Luke and Christine Ouellette.
    Slated as the opening number for the annual pageant is a dance number to include all contestants and featuring Jr. Miss Caribou 2007, Kayla Cormier. Other special entertainment is to include Cormier and Jr. Maine Potato Queen 2007, Hannah Hebert.
    Sherrill Campbell is the pageant director, working with co-directors Erica Gove-Raymond and Sue Keaton. Sandi Bouchard will be Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening.
    Sponsors for the 2008 pageant include; Sirois’ Market, North State Transportation, County Physical Therapy, Griffeth Ford, Reds, Napolis Restaurant and the Maine Dance Academy.
    Admission to the pageant is $6 per person and tickets are available from any of the contestants or at the door.
