After four rounds of wrestling in the 103-pound weight class, Dubay captured sixth place earning an All-American title.
According to Dubay, the competition featured an impressive group of high school wrestlers. “It was a whole different style of wrestling,” said Dubay. “It was more variable, and they train year-round.”
Senior Dubay defeated Dustin Carter of Ohio, 1-0, in his first match.
In the second round, Dubay fell to Jesse Meis, of Colorado, the eventual champion. Dubay also capitulated to Gerson Deleon, of New Jersey, and Edgar Diaz, of California.
“The competition was tough and Carlin did a great job competing,” said coach Todd Albert.
