Junior Miss Mars Hill 2008 Alexis Bradbury and Junior Miss Blaine 2008 Lindsey Watson were crowned on Saturday, April 5, at the Mars Hill and Blaine Community Center. Following an opening routine, the contestants participated in sportswear, talent and evening gown competitions.
The interview portion took place earlier in the afternoon. Judges were Chantel Pelletier, Heather Harvell and Tracy Kinney. The auditor was Sheree Sweeney.
Bridgett Marie Garrison is the daughter of Steve and Kelly Garrison. She sang “Beauty of Grace” as her talent and is inspired by her mom – a question that each contestant was asked to answer. She was escorted by her dad, Steve.
Alexis Bradbury is the daughter of Mandy Bradbury. She performed a karate routine as her talent. Alexis was crowned Jr. Miss Mars Hill 2008. She is inspired by her mom and was escorted by her cousin, Cody Stewart.
Stephanie Dame sang “All I Need” as her talent and is inspired by her sister, Alex. She is the daughter of Stephen and Debra Dame and was escorted by her dad. Stephanie was named Miss Congeniality.
Lindsey Watson was crowned Jr. Miss Blaine 2008. The daughter of Dana and Gloria Watson, Lindsey sang “God Bless the USA” as her talent and is inspired by Jamie Tardiff. She received the award for High Ticket Sales and was escorted by her dad.
