Limestone – Winston A. Brooker, 69, passed away Sunday morning, April 13, 2008, at a Bangor healthcare facility, following a brief illness. He was born June 22, 1938, in Limestone, the son of Perley and Ethel (West) Brooker. He attended local schools and was a lifelong member of the Limestone Assembly of God.
In addition to his parents, Winston was predeceased by his brother Darrel Brooker Sr. in 1998; two nephews, Darrel Brooker Jr. in 1991 and Danny Brooker in 1997; two great-nephews, Jeremiah Hall in 1985 and Chase Lockwood in 2007. He is survived by three nieces, Dawn White and her husband Rickey of Oxford, MA, Debra Sullivan and her husband Larry of Melbourne, FL, Darlene Hall of West Melbourne, FL; sister-in-law, Patricia Morey of West Melbourne; several great-nieces and great-nephews. Winston will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his church family at the Limestone Assembly of God and by his dear friend and pastor, the Rev. Robert Amuzzini.
A graveside service of committal will be conducted at the Advent Cemetery, Limestone, later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Winston to the Limestone Assembly of God, 14 Church Street, Limestone, 04750. Arrangements are a service of the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
