PRESQUE ISLE – The University of Maine at Fort Kent defeated the University of Maine at Presque Isle 3-2 to capture the Owl Indoor Soccer Tournament title during the weekend of April 12-13 event held at UMPI. UMFK defeated a combination of Northern Maine Community College and local players in the semifinal game before beating the Owls in the championship. The tournament included 10 teams and over 80 players from Fort Kent to Machias. UMPI advanced to the championship by defeating the University of Maine at Machias 4-2 in the semifinal. Other teams participating included Loring Job Corp, another UMPI team, an alumni team, two Fort Kent teams and two Machias teams.
