The Maine Veterans Home staff in Caribou has announced Norma Whitney has been selected as their Resident of the Month for April.
In Whitney’s honor, a short story about her life was shared with guests and family members attending the ice cream and cake reception. A collage depicting special moments in Whitney’s’ life will be on display for the entire month at the Veterans Home. Family members attending the afternoon event included her daughter and grandson, Michelle Barnes and Brevin and her sister Lorna. Brevin Barnes, grandson of Norma Whitney, Maine Veterans Home Resident of the Month for April, kept himself entertained making puzzles during the afternoon celebration. Barnes is the son of Michelle and Troy Barnes of Caribou.
