NEW BUSINESS — Bryan Williams is the owner of Island Falls’ newest business, Williams Septic & Plumbing. Williams serves the southern Aroostook area and works on jobs large and small.
Williams Septic & Plumbing was launched roughly two months ago by Bryan Williams, who says his goal is to serve customers with jobs big and small.
“One of the niches that I’m seeing around here, especially in the spring and summer when a lot of the building is going on, is that a lot of the other plumbers are tied up, working with contractors and completing those bigger jobs,” he explained. “But my goal is to specialize in working on the smaller jobs, too. … I want to make sure as I grow the company that I never lose sight of that.”
Even though his business is new, Williams has a long history with the trade itself.
“My father, Lester Williams Jr., was a licensed plumber since he was 18 years old,” said Williams. “So, I really have to attribute getting into this business to him. Without really knowing it, he pushed me in this direction and I really enjoy the work.”
In addition to the plumbing, Williams offers some septic services, as well, applying skills he learned during the four years he spent working in advanced wastewater systems in Florida.
“I can do jetting, small clearing of lines and I have access to a pipe camera,” he said.
Since the business started, Williams said he’s seen a great response from customers. He said he’s enjoying all aspects of the new role.
“In one way or another, most jobs are dealing with water. So, I enjoy the challenges of that,” he said. “And I like dealing with the customers one-on-one.”
