Mapleton Lions Club
The Mapleton Lions Club will hold its 45th annual auction May 3 at 6:30 p.m. This year’s auction promises to be the biggest auction in the history of the club. More than 400 services, gift certificates and items will be available for purchase by those attending. Auction items include air travel tickets to Boston, a gas weed whacker, Maine Public Service gift certificates, loaves of bread, oil changes and many other services. Good deal can be had by all who attend. The funds raised at the auction are used for the charities supported the Mapleton Lions Club and include Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp, Project Graduation, eyeglasses for the needy, the Mapleton Lions Club College Scholarship, and many other similar projects.
Your help is needed by the club to support these efforts. The Mapleton Lions Club will be providing the annual public supper that will be held just prior to the annual auction.
Mapleton United Methodist Church luncheon
The United Methodist Church luncheon will be held Friday, April 25 at 11:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come. Hope to see you there.
