CARIBOU, Maine — Grade-eight teachers Mrs. Dow, Mr. Barnes, Mr. Fantasia, Mrs. Sleeper and Ms. Cyr, of the Caribou Middle School have selected Erin Madore as their Social Studies March Student of the Month.
The teachers had the following to say about this student.
“Erin is an honor roll student who is also active in extracurricular activities at the school. She has been a member of the soccer, basketball and track teams. We think she is a wonderful student, who is always prepared for class and is always willing to help assist the teachers or a fellow student.”
The “Six-Creeders” team coached by Mrs. Bouchard, Mr. Pelletier and Mrs. Dionne, has selected Alana Sirois as the March Student of the Month.
An honor roll student, sixth-grader Alana was a member of the cross-country team, Caribou Middle School ski team and participates in the ABYL recreational basketball program. Alana joins school and recreational activities that help make her an all-around student and citizen.
Her sense of humor along with the ability to get along with and help her peers, are some of her strongest assets. She is honest, courteous, and respectful to her teachers and classmates.
Mrs. Levasseur and Mrs. Ouellette of the fifth-grade team, the “Brainiacs” have named Connor Shaw as their team’s March Student of the Month.
Connor is a very conscientious student and has very creative ideas. He has a friendly personality and is a likeable young man to his peers, as well as to adults.
The responsibility that he assumes at school and the quality of this work has made him a highest honor roll student for all three quarters and he is in the gifted and talented program at the Caribou Middle School.
Connor’s favorite hobbies include drawing, playing video games and watching TV.
The fifth-grade team at the Caribou Middle School, “The Sur’five’ors” under teachers Mr. Barnes, Mrs. Hebert and Mrs. Barnes have selected Taylor Thibodeau as March Student of the Month.
Taylor is a leader in his classroom and active in school activities. He serves as his homeroom’s student representative and is on the Civil Rights Team.
Taylor is also an excellent student, taking his studies seriously by maintaining high honor status all year. Taylor is also a good friend and well liked by his peers.
Seventh-grade teachers, Mr. Thompson, Mrs. Rhinebolt and Mrs. Plourde, have the following to say about the “STARS” March Student of the Month, Jenny Blaisdell.
“Jenny is a member of the cheering squad and she is also on the competition team. She enjoys swimming and walking in her spare time. Jenny also likes to be outside in nature. She is very helpful in the classroom and always has a smile on her face. She can sometimes be found working as a peer tutor,” they said.
Caribou Middle School teachers, Mrs. Duncan and Mrs. Holmes, from the sixth-grade “The WOWS,” team have selected Emmanuel Bouchard as Student of the Month for March. “Emmanuel is an incredible student who always finds the positive in every situation. His generous giving spirit is evident in all facets of the classroom, from helping other students on academics, to offering his expertise with technology to his teachers,” stated his teachers.
“Emmanual is an outstanding student and always gets highest honors. However, in his spare time after homework, he enjoys dirt biking, riding the Ranger, sledding and Little League. He is an avid outdoorsman and works in the potato house for his dad. we’re sure that is, in part, what defines his incredible work ethic,” commented his teachers. “Emmanual also has a great sense of humor, is trustworthy, and treats all people as his equal..”
The”SWAT Team” seventh-grade teachers Ms. Richardson, Mrs. Curtis and Mr. Perreault have named Ashley Richards as their March Student of the Month.
Her teachers say, “Ashley is an active member of the school community participating in chorus, the Civil Rights team and in the All -Aroostook Band.”
“Ashley is also a member of and contributor to, the Aroostook League championship X-C running, skiing and basketball teams.
“She is a diligent, conscientious worker, helpful to all her peers and teachers. She is truly a model school citizen,”they added.
Mrs. Dow, Mr. Barnes, Mr. Fantasia, Mrs. Sleeper and Ms. Cyr have selected Caribou Middle School student Charm Karunasiri as their Math and Science Student of the Month for March.
The five eight-grade teachers had this to say about their selection.“In the short period of time that Charm Karunasiri has been a student at the Caribou Middle School his teachers have been extremely impressed with his focus on his education. His grades reflect his dedication to his schoolwork and this is not the only aspect of Charm that makes him a worthy student of the month.
Charm’s teachers are very satisfied with how polite, respectful, considerate and helpful he has been. He has a great personality and has quickly made friendships with other students. Charm’s willingness to try new things is evident by joining the cross-country skiing team.
