Waters of the Aroostook River create a powerful roar going over the dam near the WPS facility in Caribou.
Although the National Weather Service issued a flood warning for several rivers in Aroostook County, there was no major threat expected for the immediate Caribou area, according to officials at the NWS office in Caribou. About two inches of rain was predicted to fall, with greater amounts expected to the north and west of the city.
