Green, Ethan C., 72, Mars Hill; in Las Vegas, NV, April 3, 2008. The family will have graveside service later in the spring.

 

ImageLAS VEGAS – Ethan C. Green, 72, of Maine, died April 3, 2008, of a massive stroke. He was airlifted from Parker, Ariz. to a hospital in Las Vegas where he passed away the following day. His wife, Patty, and sons, Ethan II and Mike, were at his bedside He had been in failing health from complications of diabetes. Ethan was born March 8, 1936, in Mars Hill, Maine, to Jean Cray and the late Kenneth Green. He graduated from Aroostook County Institute.Image
    Ethan spent 20 yrs in the US Navy serving on numerous ships. He served onboard the USS Ticonderoga (CVA 14) as Chief Electrician for ten years during the Vietnam war. After retiring from the Navy in 1974, he became an Apprentice School instructor for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. After retiring again in 1990, he and his wife traveled to Arizona every winter while maintaining their home in Tahuya, Washington.
    He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patty; son, Ethan II and daughter-in-law Karen; son, Michael Arthur and daughter-in-law, Michelle; and grandchildren, Erica Sundvall, Ethan Green III, Michael Green, Makayla Green and Nathan Green. He was predeceased by their daughter Catherine Sue Sundvall in 2003. He was also predeceased by his step-father, Gerald Cray.
    His wishes were to be cremated. The family will have graveside service later in the spring.
