A reception was held for Earl and Evelyn Morris on May 10, hosted by their children, grandchildren and great grandchild. The event celebrated the couple’s 50th anniversary.
Married May 3, 1958, the couple began married life in Bangor, before moving to Presque Isle where they currently reside.
Earl served in the Air Force at Loring. Upon retiring from the military, he then went on to do civil service work at Loring, worked as a salesperson for Electrolux and now works at McDonald’s.
Evelyn work included time at Converse, Potato Service and the Northeastland Hotel. She also took time to be a stay-at-home mom for the couple’s three children – two daughters and a son: Cheryl MacDonald and her son, Adam MacDonald and Cheryl’s fiancé, Chris Markey, live in Presque Isle; Pam Michaud and her husband, Lewis Michaud, live in Columbia, S.C.; and Earl Morris III and his partner, Michelle Dyer, reside in Presque Isle. Granddaughter Michelle Michaud and her son (the couple’s great grandson), Max Michaud, and Michelle’s partner, Reggie (Max’s dad), live in Columbia, S.C.
