Williams, Silliboy clean up competition

    In the first time Fireman’s Derby Challenge, it was Tim Williams bringing home the traveling trophy for the Linneus Fire Department.

BANGING – Team Silliboy and Team Lincoln seek each other out through the dust in the final round of the Smash-up Derby last Sunday. Smokin’ Joe Silliboy reclaimed the derby title this year.

    Placing second was Bud Nason of Island Falls and third, Dean Porter of Hodgdon.
    In the open Smash-up Derby, taking home the bragging rights, yet again, Smokin’ Joe Silliboy, while Andrew Joslyn was second and Randy Lincoln placed third.
    The most aggressive driver was Steve Nason.
    In the Compact Car Division, it was Dan Wallace in John Deere green and yellow taking the win.      He was followed by Steve Holmes, who also got the Best Looking car and in third was Adam Lee.
    Other participants for the derby included: Jake Lynds, Josh Foster, Andy Marshall, Bryant Farrar, Nick Goodness, Devon Parker, Tim Williams, Mike McAfee, Robbie Aucoin, Patrick Brewer, Emery Lincoln, Mike Howes, Joel Duff, Rachel Tweedie, David Beals, Mike Marshall and Anthony Boyce.

TEARING IT UP – The fire department derby cars chew up the dirt during their event held last Saturday. Tim Williams of Linneus won the event.
