Matthew Blanchette awarded the Governor’s Computer Science Scholarship

    Matthew Blanchette, left, a graduate computer science major at the University of Southern Maine, has been awarded the  Governor’s Computer Science Scholarship for the second time.
Along with other graduate students, he is developing a system that will used by the Maine Geo-Library Board as an open-source standard-based software system. A 2001 graduate of Caribou High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Southern Maine, he was named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester with a GPA of 4.0. The son of Don and Cindy Blanchette of Woodland, he lives in South Portland with his wife, Kelly.
