HOULTON – Benjamin Lynds has been promoted to the position of Information Systems Administrator at the F. A. Peabody Company.
Lynds began his career in 2003 as a technician for Pioneer Broadband, a subsidiary of the F. A. Peabody Company. Until 2005 Lynds worked in customer service for Pioneer, while also handling the majority of F. A. Peabody Company’s in house information systems support. In 2005, Lynds was promoted to the full time Systems Manager for F.A. Peabody Company.
As Systems Manager, Lynds oversaw the information system software and hardware requirements of all seven FAPCO offices while working under the vice-president of operations. Under this new position all responsibility for the corporate information systems will rest with him including disaster recovery and system capital budgeting.
Chris Anderson, president of the F. A. Peabody Company said, “Ben’s dedication and experience prove his ability to handle the responsibility for the oversight of our information technology.”
Lynds holds an associates degree in Computer Electronics from Northern Maine Technical College and has earned the designation of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
He now resides in Houlton.
