WINNERS – Winners of the Island Falls Lake Association Recreational Canoe and Kayak Race held July 26 were, from left, Margaret Chabot, female kayak; Nicholas Haggan, student-kayak; Clint Cushman and granddaughter Crystal Nason, first in racing canoe; Peter Blood and Ena Phipps, mixed recreational canoe/century class;; Jim Pettyjohn, adult male kayak; Amy Guerette and her father Bob Guerette, two-person double kayak. The race raised $270 for the Southern Aroostook Community School Dollars for Scholars chapter.
