ImagePRESQUE ISLE – Albert P. McIntyre, 78, died August 8, 2008, at a Presque Isle health care facility. He was born January 6, 1930 in Presque Isle, the son of Ferd and Hazel (Morehouse) McIntyre. Image
    He served in U.S. Army in Alaska during the Korean War. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved playing with his grandchildren and enjoyed woodworking.
    He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Jean (Gardiner) McIntyre of Presque Isle; three daughters, Susan Chandler and her husband Curt of Orono, Lori McIntyre and her companion Ed Koch Jr., Lisa LeGassie and her husband Joe, all of Presque Isle; five grandchildren, Case Chandler, Tara White, Anthony White, Trevor LeGassie and Meghan LeGassie; one great-granddaughter, Lily Chandler; two brothers, Harold McIntyre of Gillette, WY and Reginald McIntyre and his wife, Sally of Presque Isle; four sisters, Pauline Willette, Marie Bates, Thelma Parks, all of Presque Isle, Charlotte Lowe and her husband Paul of Frostproof, FLA. Albert was predeceased by a brother, Edward McIntyre; and two sisters, Marilyn Wallace and Blanche Browne.         A graveside service was held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Darren Bonville officiating.
