Gotten out of hand

To the editor:
As a life-long Democrat, I never thought I would be writing a letter like this, but things in Maine have gotten out of hand. It’s time for new leaders in Augusta. Every year, out-of-touch politicians increase public spending on their special projects and raise our taxes to foot the bill.  We have been promised relief year after year and things just keep getting worse. In this “year of change” I will be voting for a change as well. I will be voting to send Danny Deveau to the Maine State Senate on Nov. 4.
Danny knows what it’s like living and working in the County. He’s an Aroostook County native and understands that the tax increases career politicians in August keep forcing upon us are making it harder and harder to get ahead. It’s time for something new, and on Election Day, I will be abandoning party labels and voting for the candidate who will be a strong voice for us in Augusta.
Danny Deveau represents County values and will fight to preserve those values in the Senate. He knows how important the agriculture is to the County and the state, and how over-taxation by Augusta politicians has been crippling our economy. Danny Deveau will make a difference in the State Senate, and he will make a difference for Aroostook County.
