Tenney’s Country Store keeps customers coming back

MAPLETON – Meeting the needs of our customers is one of the reasons that customers keep coming back to Tenney’s Country Store in Mapleton.
According to Lynne Tenney, who owns the business with her husband, Chris, and two children, Luca and Brandon, favorable customer service is key to staying in business. The Tenneys also own the successful Rick’s Redemption in Presque Isle.     “It is everything to our business,” she said. “Customer service is what we are all about.
“Our staff is friendly and courteous,” said Tenney, “and we try to make all of our customers feel very welcome to our store. They, in turn, have been very welcoming of us, and we appreciate their patronage and greatly appreciate all the supporting comments and suggestions. Keep them coming.”
Located at 1689 Main St. in Mapleton – the former Trett’s convenience store – Tenney’s Country Store opened March 8 of this year.
The Tenneys provide groceries, beverages, HBC needs, automotive needs, a full-service deli with take out, gasoline, lottery and scratch tickets, and have recently introduced to the area propane tank exchange.
“We’re constantly looking to meet the needs of our customers,” said Tenney, “and have renovated our deli to better serve our customers, and by adding a variety of meats, vegetables and cheeses for purchase.
“It will take time to do all the changes we’d like to see,” she said, “but I think we are off to a great start, and with your continued support, additional renovations will happen.”
    Tenney’s Country Store is open from 5 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday. Kitchen hours are from 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
