MARS HILL – Hilda Bridges, 81, died Saturday evening Sept. 20, 2008, at a Mars Hill health care facility. She was born in Mars Hill on July 22, 1927, the daughter of Alfred and Gladys (Hawksley) Bridges.
She worked many years at Campbell Cleaners, worked for 26 years at McCain Foods in Easton, and was the Avon lady for a number of years.
She is survived by her brother, Ronald Bridges Sr. and his wife, Gloria of Enfield, Conn.; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service was held 3 p.m. Tuesday at Kings Grove Cemetery, Mars Hill, with Wallace Boyd officiating.
