Organizations
The Easton Cub Scouts are meeting again this year at 6:30 p.m. every other Thursday evening. The next meeting will be Thursday, Sept. 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the basement of the Odd Fellows Hall. We are encouraging boys from grades 1 through 5 to attend if interested, as we would like to build membership.
Anyone interested can call Mary Anne Anderson at 488-683 or Tracy Hathaway at 488-8009.
Also note that the annual popcorn sales have started and the yummy treat can be purchased from any Cub Scout or leader. They make wonderful gifts for the upcoming holiday season.
Visits
Enola Clemmens Heitman, of Sun City, Ariz., recently spent several days visiting with her relatives, the Milbury family. Enola, who is the sister of the late Maxine Milbury, spent her junior and senior year of high school with the Milbury family.
Andrea Celayeta, of Fruita, Colo., is home for a two-week visit with her parents, Clair and Eldora Carter. While here, her brother and wife, Mike and Beth Carter, of Portland, came to spend a long weekend.
Injured
A day or two after entertaining the Kiwanis with a cookout at their home, Loris Allen was knocked down by her dog while hanging out clothes and suffered a fractured bone just below the knee. She will be practically off her feet for several weeks.
Eldora Carter is the correspondent for Easton. She can be reached at 488-5961.
