The last local horsepower pulls — four wheel pulls, mud runs and pickup pulls — were a huge success at Ashland last weekend.
As the evening temperatures fell the thrill of the competition heated up. The pullers were in great form as the measurements for placement were within mere inches of each other.
As was advertised there was a Woman’s Open. There were nine entries in this class and as has been the case it was one of the thrills of the evening.
Also making an appearance for the delight of the crowds was an Expo tractor from Canada. This tractor is new this year and sports a two Chevy Big blocks and runs on gas. They call it Bandit. It is third-place in points in all of Canada and the only one-of-seven that is still running.
The NPPA pullers will be at the Cumberland Fair this Friday for their final point’s pull of the season.
