CHAMPS – The Houlton Merchants captured the 2008 summer Men’s Softball League title, with Hunt Law taking runner-up honors. The championship game was sent to an ‘IF’ game, and wasn’t completed until 12:30 a.m. The total of the two games ended up 56-55, with the Houlton Merchants pulling out a three-run win. Playing for the champion Houlton Merchants were, from left, front, Travis Gentle, Chad Gentle, Clyde Warman and Kevin Tuttle; back, Jon Codrey, Derrick Nickerson, Galen Nickerson, Chris Stewart, Matt Day and Heath Gentle.
RUNNER-UP – Runners-up in the 2008 summer Men’s Softball League was the Hunt Law team.
