Let down

To the editor:
In November 2006, my wife and I and several of our family members voted for Patricia Sutherland for State House District 7. She won by four votes. In 2007, I gave her some documents and asked her to get some information for me from the Attorney General. Rep. Sutherland said she had known the Attorney General for quite some time and promised to do so. I never got the documents back or any information from the Attorney General’s office. In 2008 I asked her for a copy of the 2007 Senate and House Registers. After waiting several weeks, I called a Representative from another district and got a copy in a few days.
In 2007 Rep Sutherland voted for Governor Baldacci’s School Consolidation Bill. When I asked her if she voted for the bill, she said she voted for the Governors Budget. It appears to me that Rep. Sutherland, after getting elected, has been completely controlled by partisan politics.  Presently only 33 existing regional school units have been completely approved, 53 school units have not. Instead of reaching the goal of 80, the total school units listed is 86.
In November 2008, my family and I will be voting for Zachary Smith for State House District 7 and hope that many voters in District 7 will vote the same.
