Rainbarrow Studio in Littleton will be hosting an open house on Sunday, Oct. 5 to celebrate two years’ of operation. The gallery and studio will be open from 1-5 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and artist Frank Sullivan will be present to discuss his work and answer questions about art classes and lessons.
Sullivan and his family moved to Littleton from Massachusetts in January 2006 and he opened Rainbarrow Studio in October after spending several months renovating the old potato house on his property. In the past two years he has offered classes in drawing and painting at all levels and has taught dozens of students.
“I have been pleasantly surprised at the response that I have had for art classes in this area. I have had many wonderful students, some of whom have continued to study with me since I opened, and I have been very proud of their work and their progress.”
In addition to teaching, Sullivan works as a full-time artist. He has found the light and scenery in Littleton and the surrounding area particularly inspiring and has created many works of art based on local scenery. His work can also be seen at Visions and The Courtyard Café, both in Houlton; The Eastport Gallery in Eastport; and the Wintergreen Art Center in Presque Isle. His work can also be viewed online at: http://rainbarrowstudio.blogspot.com/
