MARS HILL – Robert Shaw, 81, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2008, at a Houlton health-care facility. He was born March 5, 1927, in Groveland, Mass., the son of Oscar F. and Madolyn (Richardson) Shaw.
Robert worked in Connecticut for many years as a caterer before returning to Mars Hill.
He is survived by an aunt, Margaret Bragdon of Safety Harbor, FL; a brother-in-law, Vernon Ford of Mars Hill; and four nieces and a nephew. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn Ford.
A graveside service was conducted 3 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2008, at Pierce Cemetery in Mars Hill with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating.
