The New Sweden Extension met Nov 18 at the Covenant Church. The Eye Opener was presented by Betty Grant. Christmas gifts were sewn, assembled and wrapped for residents of the Limestone Manor. Many local businesses contributed numerous items for the Christmas gifts and Extension members appreciate the generosity.
Items discussed at the meeting included a climbing wall for the New Sweden School, can tabs for Shriners and card fronts for St. Jude’s.
A report was given on the Fall Meeting held at the Caribou Motor Inn and a motion was passed to make contributions to the Bread of Life Soup Kitchen of Caribou.
The next meeting will be held at Monica Soderberg’s home on Dec. 10.
This meeting will feature a potluck meal and Christmas readings.
